Dental problems
Pain, cavities, or bleeding gums – we’re here for you.
Fast help and personalized advice for every dental issue.

Gum problems
Healthy gums are the foundation of healthy teeth. Bleeding gums, swelling or receding gums are often the first signs of inflammation and should be investigated at an early stage.
Typical symptoms
- Bleeding gums
- Red or swollen gums
- Receding gums
- Bad breath
- Pain or pus
If the symptoms persist or your gums are receding, we recommend a dental check-up.
The earlier inflammation is detected, the easier it is to treat.
Hole in a tooth
A hole in a tooth is usually caused by tooth decay. Initially, it often causes no symptoms. Regular check-ups help to detect damage at an early stage.
Possible signs
- Sensitivity to cold, hot or sweet foods
- Pain when chewing
- Dark patches
- A rough feeling on the tooth
Depending on the findings, we will treat the tooth with a tooth-coloured filling, an inlay or a crown.
Tooth sensitive to pressure
A tooth that is sensitive to pressure should be taken seriously. The causes range from excessive strain to inflammation.
When should you book an appointment?
- Pain when chewing or biting down
- The tooth feels ‘too high’
- Discomfort following a filling
The sooner the cause is identified, the simpler the treatment.
Pain from wisdom teeth
Wisdom teeth can cause pain if there is not enough space in the jaw or if they only partially erupt.
Typical symptoms
- Pain at the back of the jaw
- Swelling or a feeling of pressure
- Pain when chewing
- Limited ability to open the mouth
Depending on the findings, we will treat the inflammation or recommend removal of the wisdom tooth.
Teeth sensitive to cold
Do your teeth react sensitively to cold, hot or sweet foods? This is often caused by exposed tooth necks, worn enamel or small defects.
Possible causes
- Exposed tooth necks
- Worn enamel
- Tooth decay or leaking fillings
- Receding gums
If the symptoms persist, we recommend an early assessment.
Broken tooth
A broken tooth should be examined as soon as possible – even if there is no pain.
What you can do straight away
- Keep the broken piece of tooth
- Rinse your mouth carefully
- Apply a cold compress to the outside of the mouth
- Avoid putting any pressure on the tooth
Depending on the extent of the damage, the tooth can often be saved with a filling, a partial crown or a crown.
Pain caused by grinding and clenching the teeth
Teeth grinding or excessive clenching (bruxism) can lead to tooth wear, cracks in the teeth, as well as discomfort in the temporomandibular joint and pain in the neck, head and shoulders. In rare cases, it may also be linked to tinnitus. This often happens unconsciously – particularly at night.
If you suspect you are grinding your teeth, we would be happy to advise you. Together, we will find the right treatment for you, for example with a custom-made dental splint.

Treatment of tooth decay
Tooth decay is caused by bacterial plaque that attacks the tooth enamel. If detected early, the tooth can usually be saved with a small, tooth-coloured filling. We gently remove the affected tooth structure and restore the tooth’s natural shape and function.
Depending on the size of the defect, we use different filling materials or inlays. The aim is always to provide a long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing restoration.
The earlier tooth decay is detected, the simpler and gentler the treatment will be.

Gum treatment
Gum inflammation is usually caused by bacterial plaque at the gum line. If left untreated, this can develop into periodontitis and, in the long term, damage the periodontium.
During treatment, we thoroughly remove plaque and bacteria both above and below the gum line. This allows the tissue to regenerate and the inflammation to subside. We will also show you how to optimise your oral hygiene routine.
Healthy gums are the foundation for strong and long-term healthy teeth.

Root canal treatment
If the tooth’s nerve is inflamed or has already died, root canal treatment can often save the tooth and prevent it from needing to be extracted. During the procedure, the fine root canals are carefully cleaned, disinfected and then sealed tightly.
Modern techniques enable precise and gentle treatment. Following successful treatment, the tooth is usually stabilised with a filling or crown.
Our aim is to preserve your natural tooth in the long term.

Wisdom teeth
Wisdom teeth often do not have enough space in the jaw and can therefore cause pain, inflammation or pressure on neighbouring teeth. In such cases, we assess whether removal is advisable.
The procedure is carried out gently and is planned on an individual basis. We will explain the procedure and aftercare to you in detail beforehand so that you feel reassured.
Early assessment helps to prevent discomfort and complications.

Crowns & Partial crowns
If teeth are severely damaged or weakened, crowns or partial crowns can protect and stabilise them in the long term. They cover the tooth completely or partially and fully restore its function.
We use high-quality materials that are both durable and aesthetically pleasing. This ensures the restoration blends harmoniously with your natural teeth.
For greater stability, protection and a secure chewing sensation.

Implants
Implants are artificial tooth roots that are firmly anchored in the jawbone and permanently replace missing teeth. They serve as a stable foundation for crowns, bridges or dentures and enable a natural chewing sensation.
Implants also help to preserve the jawbone and prevent neighbouring teeth from shifting. The treatment is planned individually and tailored to your specific situation.
For fixed dentures and a better quality of life in everyday life.

Ceramic inlays
Ceramic inlays are precisely fitted fillings that are manufactured in the laboratory or digitally. They are particularly suitable for medium-sized defects and offer a durable and stable alternative to traditional fillings.
Thanks to their natural colour and translucency, they are almost indistinguishable from real teeth. At the same time, they are characterised by high strength.
An aesthetic and long-lasting solution for tooth preservation.

Dental splints
Custom-made dental splints protect the teeth from the effects of teeth grinding and clenching. They are individually crafted from high-quality plastic and are usually worn at night.
The splint prevents direct contact between the teeth and can thus relieve pressure on the enamel, fillings and the temporomandibular joint. At the same time, it helps to prevent cracks and excessive tooth wear.
A simple and effective solution for the long-term protection of your teeth.

Techniques
State-of-the-art technology for precise diagnosis and treatment.
We rely on digital methods that combine safety and comfort.

CEREC®
Using CEREC® technology, we fabricate high-quality ceramic crowns and inlays directly in our practice. Following a digital scan, your restoration is precisely planned and often fabricated during the same appointment.
This means you benefit from a perfectly fitted restoration – without the need for a traditional impression and, in most cases, without a second appointment.
Precise, comfortable and time-saving.
Digital X-rays (2D & 3D)
Digital X-rays enable a precise diagnosis whilst minimising radiation exposure. For complex treatments, we use three-dimensional CBCT scans where necessary to provide a detailed view of the teeth, jaw and nerves.
For a reliable diagnosis and optimal treatment planning.
Anesthesia methods

Local anaesthesia
Thanks to modern local anaesthesia, most dental treatments can be carried out pain-free. The affected area is specifically numbed so that you do not feel any pain during the treatment.
We take care to administer the anaesthesia gently and take the time to answer your questions – so that you feel well looked after at all times.
For a relaxed and comfortable treatment.
